Is there an iPad app that can play all video codecs?

Posted: April 20th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Questions | Tags: , , , , | 5 Comments »

I’m thinking of getting an ipad for it’s battery life and portability.

But I don’t think it can play all video codecs like MKV or OGM or movies with .SRT subtitle files.

I don’t want to have to convert every video file as it’s very CPU intensive.

Could there be an iphone app, similar to a bundled windows media player + codec pack (CCCP) that plays many codecs?

!! why not use vlc on your iphone, ipod, or ipad?
VLC actually already armed with almost all v/a codec your need? And it save your time as well as your intensive CPU anyway.
