I watch your clips for inspiration and also to learn aswell and pick up on things that im missing. What advice have you got when it comes to breaking A song down? here’s A link to one of my Loops, I played it to A rapper friend and all he could say was..”its not fnished”

yeah man , i remember when i used to love producing music back in the day between 99 – 2003 but then it slowly started fading cause of the lost of the original hip hop sound…i still produce but dont do it as much as i used to and people always ask me for beats and i just tell em , im bout to give this up cause its not like it used to be , i gotta change my style up because of other people wanting that sound and i dont wanna really do that , i want to stay original like my own style

What if you’ve discovered your real first love at the age of 16? I mean, when I was 10 I wanted to be a professional soccer player, but when the hardest parts were coming I just gave up..I just think that if I really wanted that I’d keep making the effort…But music has always been on my life…I remember when I started having basic lessons (in portugal you learn how to play flute during 2 years, just 2 …unless you pay for other instruments) I was the best. I was just so easy to me..

You are the most inspiring producer I have seen, you changed my whole perspective on how I think about the music industry and what its really abou, not about the fame, it’s about success and just making good music that people will appreciate thanks RaidaBeatz

Thanks alot Mike for putting this vlog up on your channel. I love the work you do and the music you make is inspiering. I am actually in the process of making my own music it’s though I will admit I thought that it is going to be easy but its not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Do you have any advice on what I should focus on when I make my own music?

  16. 16 Sire743 said at 12:33 pm on June 30th, 2011:

I’m glad you put this vlog out, Mike because you can’t produce good music that people like if you don’t love what you do. You have to be of two minds about the creative and the business. You have shared a bit of wisdom about other professions being as important. The work ethic is the same regardless, even if you want to be the best plumber, nurse, baker or whatever. If your gift finds you then that is what you should follow with a passion. God Bless you, young brother.

I don’t comment very much on videos of people I follow, but you’ve addressed so many important things our youth needs to think about. You mentioned, “… living a good life.” That’s truth, man. I joined your channel because of the music. I respect you because of this talk.

    Good luck in 2011.
