I am thinking about getting my brother an iPad for Christmas. He has a very hard time taking notes and listening to a lecture at the same time, because of past medical history. Is there an app that records the lecture and types it out for you? I have seen a few that record while you take notes but none that takes the notes for you while it records. I wasn’t sure if I was missing something or if there were none.

Hi everyone. Is there any ebook reader app for iPad that has an Integrated Dictionary and the ability to Highlight PDF files? Stanza does the first and Goodreader does the latter but are there any apps which can do both ? Thanks in advance.

I’ve recently bought an iPad and I need a good app that can edit Excel apps directly from Dropbox. I’m not really interested in Numbers, and I’ve heard that quick office doesn’t work particularly well with Dropbox. Any suggestions? If anyone can recommend a good app from their own experience it would be really helpful!

I need a good iphone app that translate english to portuguese and portuguese to english. my phone will be on airplane mode to avoid stupid roaming charges. So I will not have data connection. I would like to be able to type in what I want translated. I see lots of apps with prefabricated phrases that speak them. But I do not want that. I want the freedom to create my own translation.

I have a linguistics assignment where I have to analyze speech paterns. I need to interview a child and record his or her voice. I then need to be able to clip this interview into pieces to give examples when I do my presentation. Does anyone know of an ipad app that records and alows me to split the recording up, or can be sent to a program on a school computer like Final Cut Express for editing?

One of the first things you notice about the iPad 64gb is it has a trademarked bevel curved backside which not only makes it visually appealing but also comfy to hold because, trust me, you are not going to want to put your iPad down.

The iPad 64gb Battery Rocks – 10 Hours Long Baby
With all its built in power, high def screen, touch screen technology and apps by the bucket load you’d think that the iPad was a battery hog… Well it might be but it really doesn’t matter because the Apple wizards have developed their own in-house lithium sci-fi technology that means the iPad can last a full 10 hours!
Now yes, it depends on how you’re using it. But the Apple creators say it will play movies solidly for 10 hours for example before the iPad battery says “feed me”.
A less important battery fact (though still interesting if you like nerdy tech trivia) is that fact that you can leave your iPad in standby mode for a MONTH, yes I said a month and it will still be alive afterwards. Yikes – this is one crazy battery man. Now you know why so many people are buying their iPad whilst there are still units in stock.
The iPad 64gb Wireless Set Up
The iPad 64gb comes with built in 802.11n (whatever the heck that means right?) and it will automatically, scour, assimilate and hook into the fastest wireless networks available. Clever little thing that it is.
You just need to tap a couple of times on that lovely touch screen to join a wireless network and you’re done.
On top of this wireless fun your iPad comes with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR (ahh yes, rubs of chin all round, what the heck is all this stuff anyway?) the upshot of which is that you can connect it to accessories like wireless headsets, headphones or the Apple Wireless Keyboard if that happens to particularly float your boat.
iPad 3G
The kick-butt 3G model comes with ball-bustingly fast data speeds right upto 7.2 Mbps (trust me, this is fast Scottie). So yeah, screw that lack of wireless network – you can be on the road, on the train or up a mountain and it won’t matter – you’ll be able to get super speedy internet, gaming, email, downloading and iPad fun on the move. Happy days.
iPad 64gb Chip
Ah yes – the Apple power house of this beast is a belter. Yet again this thing has been custom designed for the iPad (rather than some techie trawling through the Apple warehouse looking at all the used spare parts). As far as touch devices go – the iPad 64gb is hands down the best performance device out there, bar none.
